How many pillows do you sleep on at night?
There’s no harm in sleeping on two – unless your neck is at an angle that will cause pain when you wake up.
If you like your head elevated, make sure the rise starts at the base of your neck, where it meets your shoulders. That way the weight of your head won’t put pressure on your spine as it tilts forward.
However, if you’re sleeping on old, smushed, flattened pillows – and you need two just to prop your head up – that’s a problem. Because those old, floppy pillows are probably full of dust mites – which can cause your allergies and sinus issues to flare up.
So say goodbye to those flat-as-a-pancake pillows and get some new ones. Your sinuses – and neck – will thank you.
